A fair day's pay for a hard day's work
Across Ontario, people are looking for someone who will stand up for fair wages for working families. They can count on NDP Leader Howard Hampton to fight for them and get things done.
New Democrats believe working families deserve a fair day's pay for a hard day's work - that people who work hard and play by the rules should be rewarded with the opportunity to earn decent living and have the chance to get ahead. That's why we want a $10 minimum wage TODAY. It's good for workers. It's good for small business where people spend their money. It's good for Ontario.
But Dalton McGuinty just doesn't get it. He doesn't believe the 1.2 million Ontarians who work for $10 or less deserve a living wage or the chance to get ahead.
Seeing red about McGuinty and his broken promises? Get orange. Get involved with Ontario's NDP and help us send McGuinty a clear strong message: If you have the time to give yourself a $40,000 raise then you can raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour TODAY. It's only fair.
