Fact Check: Hudak’s job plan is no plan at all

Tim Hudak criticized the New Democrat jobs plan today. That might be because he lacks one of his own:

  • Hudak cloned McGuinty’s corporate tax giveaway plan, even though independent studies show they don’t work: “tens of billions of dollars to their stockpiles of cash at a time when tax cuts are supposed to be encouraging them to plow more money into their businesses.” (Globe and Mail, April 6, 2011)
  • Hudak claims to “be the best partner small business ever had” (PC platform) but doesn’t even match the New Democrat plan to lower the small business tax rate to 4%.
  • And, in order to eliminate “job-killing red tape” they will appoint a Minister… of Red Tape.

Tim Hudak’s out-of-touch approach to the serious job crisis in Ontario simply won’t cut it—unless your job is printing pink slips…
