Biography:

"It’s time working families got a fair deal. Dalton McGuinty’s record has been one broken promise after another. But he still found time to give himself a $40,000 pay raise. That’s someone who has lost touch with working families. We deserve better.

"I’m proud to stand with Howard Hampton – a leader who is upfront, honest, and principled. You know you can count on us to stand up for seniors, children, parents, and working people.

"This time, ask yourself ‘Which leader and party can I count on to fight for a fair deal for working families?’

"I hope I can count on your support on October 10."

A lifelong resident of London-West, Paul Pighin is a committed member of his community. A former national level athlete Paul competed for Canada as a member of the National Gymnastics Team and understands what it means to represent others.

Since being diagnosed with HIV, Paul has thrown himself into working to better the conditions of other Londoners who live with HIV, and educating and helping infected and affected youth. Since 2002 Paul has worked with the AIDS committee as a volunteer, public speaker and educator, with the needle exchange program, on the online help chat room as an intervenor and as a staff and volunteer trainer. He has also worked as a camp counselor and leader at Camp Wendake, a camp for people infected or affected with AIDS.

Paul is committed to working for his community. He has volunteered with the Civitan Club raising money for physically and mentally challenged individuals and is looking forward to having the opportunity to stand up for the working people of London-West as their next MPP.
