Biography:

"It’s time working families got a fair deal. Dalton McGuinty’s record has been one broken promise after another. But he still found time to give himself a $40,000 pay raise. That’s someone who has lost touch with working families. We deserve better.

"I’m proud to stand with Howard Hampton – a leader who is upfront, honest, and principled. You know you can count on us to stand up for seniors, children, parents, and working people.

"This time, ask yourself ‘Which leader and party can I count on to fight for a fair deal for working families?’

"I hope I can count on your support on October 10."

Satish Balasunderam grew up in Mississauga. He understands the working families of his community and he understands the issues that matter to them.

A lawyer in Mississauga East-Cooksville, Satish provides legal advice and representation to many hard-working families struggling to make ends meet. Through this experience he knows that these families need affordable housing, family-supporting jobs, more transit and more home care for seniors so they can stay in their own homes.

Satish is a member of Amnesty International and of several legal organizations, including the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, Family Lawyers Association, and Peel Law Association.

Satish speaks English and Tamil and is very involved with the Canadian Tamil community and with the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, the Sri Durga Temple in Mississauga, and other community organizations.

Satish is excited to have this opportunity to stand up for the working families of Mississauga East-Cooksville and is looking forward to representing them as their next MPP.
