"It’s time working families got a fair deal. Dalton McGuinty’s record has been one broken promise after another. But he still found time to give himself a $40,000 pay raise. That’s someone who has lost touch with working families. We deserve better.
"I’m proud to stand with Howard Hampton – a leader who is upfront, honest, and principled. You know you can count on us to stand up for seniors, children, parents, and working people.
"This time, ask yourself ‘Which leader and party can I count on to fight for a fair deal for working families?’
"I hope I can count on your support on October 10."
Born in Yorkshire, England Tony Crawford and his wife Jill immigrated to Oakville in 1979 and are proud to have raised their two children in the community.
A trained engineer Tony worked for IBM Canada where he developed a popular team approach for systems design analysis, which became an industry standard for business and system audits. Tony is also the successful author of a number of business and professional textbooks, widely used by government and industry.
Tony first became politically active when he and his wife were the victims of identity theft. They launched an awareness campaign to help make Canadians aware of the dangers of identity theft and how citizens can protect themselves. Tony joined the NDP because of Howard Hampton’s strong stand at Queen’s Park calling for tougher penalties and regulations to stop identity theft.
A committed community activist, Tony is excited to have this opportunity to stand up for the working families of Oakville.
