A business owner, Cheri DiNovo has shown a strong commitment to charity and community. Since her election last fall, she has really shaken things up at Queen’s Park and has devoted herself to standing up for the working families of Parkdale-High Park.

As NDP critic for Small Business Affairs, Housing Affairs, Employment Standards, and Culture, Tourism and Recreation, Cheri led the fight for a $10 minimum wage and forced the government to act.

Outside of Queen’s Park, Cheri is the former minister of Emmanuel Howard Park United Church and is the founder and owner of her own small business called the Abbot Group. In addition, she is an associate member of the Roncesvalles Business Improvement Association, a Board member and founding member of the Centre for Active Resources and a Board member of King Street Shalom House.

Cheri, her partner Gil and her two grown children live in Parkdale. Cheri’s commitment to her community has only strengthened her desire to serve in the Legislature and she looks forward to continuing her work representing Parkdale-High Park at Queen’s Park.
