Biography:

"It’s time working families got a fair deal. Dalton McGuinty’s record has been one broken promise after another. But he still found time to give himself a $40,000 pay raise. That’s someone who has lost touch with working families. We deserve better.

"I’m proud to stand with Howard Hampton – a leader who is upfront, honest, and principled. You know you can count on us to stand up for seniors, children, parents, and working people.

"This time, ask yourself ‘Which leader and party can I count on to fight for a fair deal for working families?’

"I hope I can count on your support on October 10."

Sandra Parrott is a proud member of the Thornhill community. It’s where she’s raised her two adult children and it’s a community she cares deeply about.

Sandra has lived in Thornhill for the past 27 years. In that time she has devoted herself to working with individuals with special needs. She has worked as a special education assistant with the York Region District School Board, as a home care aide and with the CNIB with visually challenged children.

Sandra has also been an active executive member of the board of the housing co-op where she lives and she has volunteered with the Girl Guides and Boy Scouts in her community.

Her experiences have instilled in Sandra a deep commitment to housing and disability issues, and she is particularly concerned about the poor quality of care that many of our seniors, veterans and people living with disabilities are forced to endure.

As the next MPP for Thornhill, Sandra is looking forward to standing up for working families at Queen’s Park.
