Greetings!
On behalf of the Ontario New Democratic Party, I wish to extend warm greetings during South Asian Heritage Month.
South Asian Heritage Month celebrates the accomplishments of the South Asian community and its contributions to Ontario’s social and economic fabric. The community, drawing as it does from a broad range of national, ethnic and religious backgrounds, has contributed greatly to a multicultural Ontario and Canada.
The community involvement – from Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsees and Christians – in business, education, health care and community service have made this province a more vibrant place to live. This month’s festivities provide an opportunity for everyone to participate in the rich cultural heritage of South Asian Canadians. This is a time for joy, unity and friendship for the whole community and province.
The New Democratic Party is a proud partner with Ontario’s South Asian community. I wish those of you organizing, participating in and attending South Asian Heritage Month a wonderful time.
