Minimum wage earners get minimal support from McGuinty

NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo moved and debated Private Members Bill 7, an Act to increase the minimum wage to $10 an hour immediately and index it to the Consumer Price Index.

“Bill 7 takes immediate action on poverty by bringing Ontario’s minimum wage earners above the poverty line,” said DiNovo. “Thousands of Ontarians, anti-poverty activists, municipal governments, labour, and economists across the province want a $10 Minimum Wage now.”
