Hard working auto sector workers deserve a fair deal

The auto industry is vital to the Ontario economy. But Dalton McGuinty has abandoned auto workers along with workers in manufacturing and resource industries.

Since Dalton McGuinty took office, Ontario has lost 175,000 manufacturing jobs. We are losing thousands of jobs in the auto industry. Dalton McGuinty thinks job losses in manufacturing are “inevitable.”

In the workplace, women still make only 70 per cent of men’s salaries, and for new university graduates, the situation is getting worse, not better. Help for children with autism
