McGuinty Liberals hang Hamilton flood victims out to dry

Hamilton East—Stoney Creek NDP MPP Paul Miller is demanding to know why the McGuinty Liberals denied Ontario Disaster Relief Assistance Program (ODRAP) funding to Hamilton’s flood victims.

“The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing has the final say about who receives disaster relief funding and with vague ODRAP guidelines for municipalities to follow, the process is a crap shoot process,” said Miller.

Healthcare scandals become “fact of life” under McGuinty: Horwath

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath says healthcare spending scandals are becoming a fact of life under the McGuinty Liberals.

“First, it was eHealth handing out $16-million in untendered contracts to well-connected insiders. Now, we learn of London Health Sciences Centre doling out $3.3-million in untendered contracts. This is fostered by a McGuinty government that seems to have little regard for the public’s money. When will Dalton McGuinty finally take charge and end this chain of scandals?” Horwath asked the Premier in Question Period.

Horwath proud of NDP accomplishments during Spring session

Horwath demands Labour Minister’s resignation

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is demanding the resignation of Labour Minister Peter Fonseca for his failure to act on allegations made by foreign caregivers of workplace abuse and harassment.

The allegations, leveled against Liberal MP Ruby Dhalla, were made at a meeting attended by Fonseca and Education Minister Kathleen Wynne in late April. The meeting took place in Wynne’s constituency office.
