HAMPTON: STUDENTS NEED A BREAK FROM SOARING COSTS

Ontario NDP Leader Howard Hampton says his key commitments would make life more affordable for Ontario post-secondary students and their families need a break from soaring costs. During a visit to the University of Waterloo with NDP candidate Catherine Fife, Hampton promised relief in the form of a rollback to pre-McGuinty levels and then a freeze of post-secondary tuition fees.

York South Weston NDP MPP Paul Ferreira after just three short months at Queen’s Park, scored an important victory for commuters and communities along the GO Transit Georgetown Rail Corridor.

Today his resolution calling on the McGuinty government to start showing real support for public transit along the Corridor was carried with all party support in the Legislature.
