Growing up in Stoney Creek, the daughter of an auto-worker, I know how hard it can be to make ends meet. With the cost of living rising, and stable jobs scarce – balancing the household budget is harder than ever in Ontario.
As a community organizer at a local legal clinic, I learned the importance of public services that we can count on – like education, pensions and health care.
And as a mother, I understand how important it is to plan for tomorrow – today. It’s up to us to build a better Ontario right now, and give our children the bright future they deserve.
As Leader of Ontario’s NDP, I will fight to make life better for you and your family. You can count on the New Democrat team to:
- Say no to unfair taxes like the HST – and yes to measures that make life more affordable for you.
- Fight for quality health care for your family – where and when you need it.

Every time I visit one of our wonderful Ontario communities, I hear you telling me that we need to change the way things are done at Queen’s Park.
To stop the no-strings-attached corporate tax cuts. Stop the insider politics. The outrageous CEO salaries. In today’s Ontario, the well-connected get all the breaks, while everyday families are struggling to make ends meet.
It’s time for something different. Something better.
